Our Philosophy
There are thousands of Karaoke shows in nightly operation worldwide. The universal Karaoke appeal is that it gives absolutely everybody an equal opportunity to take the stage and entertain an audience. So what makes the Rising Star Road Show stand out?

As a longtime professional musican and soundman (decades on the road playing 6-nighters and mixing bands), Terry brings advanced sound and lighting equipment and expertise to the show, and a comfortable, friendly and entertaining stage presence to make new singers feel at ease and bring out exceptional performances from experienced singers.
Dawn joined the show in 2012 with a background in dance and music, and along with her eye-catching stage presence and great voice, contributes outstanding creative innovations particularly in the games, contests and promotions aspects of our project.
Our History
The Rising Star story starts with Terry's legendary "Rising Star Restaurant and Nighclub", in the heart of downtown Drumheller, Alberta. Based on a Smokehouse and Gourmet Steak theme, at night the daytime restaurant became Drumheller's most premierr weekend club thanks to Friday's Karaoke Night, Dance Party Saturdays and special feature events like our Maui Wowie Hawaiian Night, Oscar Gala and the especially popular Nearly Naked Glow Party. Unfortunately, Municipal Politics (resulting in a crushing $2,500-a-night fine for customers talking outside the club as they left at closing time), forced us to close the doors in 2011 and take the show on the road... in retrospect the very best thing that could have ever happened!

Today our travelling Road Show, still bearing the name of the original nightclub, entertains hundreds and sometimes thousands weekly,
a source of pride and satisfaction to the Rising Star legacy.
